In partnership with University of Florida Health Autopsy Services, UF Health Pathology Laboratories makes contract autopsy services available for hospitals and decedents' legal next-of-kin throughout Florida. Our goal is to provide the highest and most trusted level of autopsy services available while supplementing University of Florida residents' education with hands-on cases.
Supported by the insight and technical expertise of one of the nation's top academic research institutions, our autopsies are conducted by experienced pathologists who specialize in postmortem examinations and determining decedents’ cause of death. We promptly dispatch a transportation team for all service requests, and once in the custody of UF Health Pathology Laboratories, subjects are examined in a clean, well-lit morgue with state-of the art examination tools and equipment.
Additionally, UF Health Pathology Laboratories can assist decedents’ legal next-of-kin in obtaining proper consent for an autopsy, and autopsies can be customized to meet the needs of the families and physicians.
