The major goal of UF PathLabs' Cardiovascular Pathology Division is to make superior clinical services available to cardiovascular patients and proactively support cardiologists and surgeons in the care of their patients.
We are also committed to actively contributing to the advancement of the field of congenital and acquired cardiovascular disease and cardiac transplant pathology. Ours is a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases. Besides evaluation by conventional histology, we perform electron and immunofluorescence microscopy, as well as specialized immunohistochemical, cytogenetic and molecular techniques when needed.
