UF Health Pathology Laboratories' coagulation service is closely allied with the UF Hematology Laboratory. The coagulation laboratory specializes in acquired and inherited disorders that result in abnormal vascular thrombosis (thrombophilia). This includes:

The laboratory also utilizes an immunoassay for the exclusion of possible heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT). This is an acquired thrombotic disorder related to heparin therapy. All these tests are performed in a multidisciplinary approach and in close cooperation with the Hematology Division in the University of Florida College of Medicine.
