On Saturday, November 5, University of Florida Health Pathology Laboratories began using a new, enhanced laboratory information system (LIS) that will ultimately improve our services. Since we activated our new LIS, however, we have been implementing solutions for issues that were identified on the initial launch weekend.

FedEx is back to performing its standard daily operations.

We updated our Facebook address to more closely align with the look and feel established by our parent organization, University of Florida Health.

During the 102nd United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology in Baltimore, Md., from March 2 - 8, 2013, this USCAP-produced video on the University of Florida Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine was shown on a continuous feed, along with similar videos on other affiliated pathology organizations, throughout the week-long event. Several of our Department's leaders are highlighted in this outstanding featurette, including Drs. Clare-Salzler, Reith, Allan, Morel, Dixon and Goldberger.

University of Florida Pathology Laboratories, Gainesville, Florida, has been awarded accreditation by the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), based on the results of a recent on-site inspection.

UF PathLabs is excited to announce that the University of Florida Forensic Toxicology Laboratory is now accredited by the American Board of Forensic Toxicology. It is the first forensic toxicology laboratory in Florida, as well as the southeastern United States, to be accredited by the Board, which is based on its compliance with professional standards, as assessed by peer review and an on-site inspection.

Many businesses today are starting to take notice of social media platforms as viable channels for two-way communication with their clients and business stakeholders. Because of this, UF PathLabs recently developed a Facebook page.
Forensic Toxicology
