Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology
The main objectives of UF PathLabs' Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Division are to make excellent clinical services available to patients and proactively support general dentistry and medicine practitioners, as well as endodontists, periodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, pediatric dentists and medical pathologists, in the diagnosis of oral and maxillofacial pathology.
We are committed to the advancement of the field of oral pathology and to the education of general and oral pathology residents, oral and maxillofacial surgeons and dentists. We practice a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment of these diseases. In addition to our evaluation of conventional histology and immunofluorescence microscopy, we routinely utilize a quantitative panel of specialized immunohistochemical, cytogenetic and molecular techniques in our diagnoses.
