Pediatric Pathology

UF PathLabs' Pediatric Pathology Division makes perinatal and pediatric pathology services available for cases involving unusual placental issues, multiple malformations, chromosomal anomalies, congenital heart disease and embryonic pediatric tumors.

We work closely with submitting physicians and pathologists to identify and clarify the underlying issues in each case. The Division’s pathology resources include cytogenetics, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology, electron microscopy and immunofluorescence. The consultation value is enhanced substantially by concurrent submission of a thorough history, copies of available radiographs, diagnostic cardiac studies and more.
