Podiatric Pathology
The major goal of UF PathLabs' Comprehensive Podiatric Service is to make superior-quality services available to patients and proactively support podiatrists in enhancing patient care and fulfilling the needs of their practices.
The Laboratory employs the expertise of the University of Florida's dermatopathologists, bone and soft tissue pathologists, neuropathologists and microbiologists. Our constituents practice a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of skin, bone, soft tissue and nail disorders of feet. In addition to our evaluation of conventional histology, we routinely utilize specialized immunohistochemical, immunofluorescence and molecular techniques if needed.
UF PathLabs makes podiatric services available for UF podiatrists, Shands Hospital, and the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, as well as podiatrists and patients throughout the state of Florida.
