Use: 
This test aids in:
  • The diagnosis of vitamin D deficiency and/or hypervitaminosis D;
  • Potential differential diagnosis of rickets and osteomalacia; and
  • Tracking vitamin D replaement therapy.
Specimen Requirements: 

Collect at least 0.5 mL blood in a red-top tube (preferred) (Lavender-top tubes are also accepted.).

Contact the laboratory if other sample types are needed.
Reference Values: 

25 – 80 ng/mL
