Clinical Profile

As a hematopathologist, my main responsibility is diagnosing hematolymphoid neoplasms and their mimickers. An accurate diagnosis is the foundation for further appropriate clinical management, which is accomplished through a multimodal approach combining clinical, laboratory, morphological, immunophenotypic, cytogenetic, and molecular findings, etc.

I am also working as a medical director in the core Lab to ensure that quality control is carried out as well as any appropriate corrective actions, which includes ensuring correct handling of proficiency material and following up on unacceptable results; ensure that new tests and/or instruments are properly validated and maintain our CAP accreditation status.

Research Profile

My research interests include diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms and transdifferentiation of these neoplasms. The results of such work can be applied to practice and facilitate precision medicine.
