Use:

This test is used to evaluate protein malnutrition, total parenteral nutrition and liver dysfunction. Values are decreased in inflammatory processes, malignancy, protein malnutrition, and protein wasting diseases of the gut or kidney. Values are increased in Hodgkin’s disease.
