Within 24 hours

Interpretation Data:

Color, appearance, specific gravity, pH, protein, glucose, ketones, occult blood, leukocyte esterase, nitrite, bilirubin, and urobilinogen are performed on all routine urinalysis ordered. If protein, leukocyte esterase, occult blood, and nitrites are all negative, microscopic examination is not performed; just the above parameters are reported. A microscopic exam will be reflexed if any of the following are positive: protein, blood, leukocyte esterase or nitrite.
